She Corporate FC, the 2021/22 FUFA Women Super League champions, have announced the appointment of Ininahazwe Belyse as their new head coach. According to a statement on the club’s X account formerly known as Twitter, Belyse has signed a permanent two-year contract.

“The Burundian tactician’s full backroom staff and technical team will be revealed in the coming days” the club stated.

With her extensive experience and tactical expertise, Belyse is expected to drive the Jinja based Outfit to new heights. Her impressive background includes serving as assistant coach of Burundi in the 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations and the recent CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship. She has also previously held head coaching positions at Ubuntu Women FC and men’s first-division teams Intersar FC and Centre De Formation Pepiniere in Burundi.

She Corporate FC joins rivals Kampala Queens FC in having a foreign coach, following the latter’s appointment of Ethiopian coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal last year who guided Kampala Queens to their second league title.

The appointment of Belyse comes after She Corporate FC parted ways with former coach Kayinda Mustapha, who led the team to 28 points in 22 games last season, with 7 wins, 7 draws, 8 losses, 18 goals scored, and 18 goals conceded hence finishing 6th on a 12-team log. The team’s unconvincing performance prompted the board to make a change, and Belyse is expected to bring significant benefits to the team
