Authorities in Kampala have confirmed that they are currently holding Sandra Teta at Kabalagala Police Station on allegations of unlawful wounding of her husband, Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel.
“The incident occurred today at around midnight at Shan’s Bar in Munyonyo, following an alleged altercation between the two. It is alleged that Sandra Teta intentionally drove and knocked down Weasel using motor vehicle UBH 148Y,which has since been impounded and is parked at Kabalagala Police Station,” confirmed Luke Owoyesigire the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy PRO.
He added: “Douglas Mayanja was initially rushed to Mukwaya Hospital and later transferred to Nsambya Hospital, where he is currently admitted and receiving medical treatment.”
The Police says, they are investigating into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The news of the incident involving musician Weasel and wife Sandra circulated on Social Media in the early hours of Thursday. The two have on several occasions been in the news over fights and alleged domestic violence.
