Branding is underway at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole in Kira Municipality ahead of the 2024 TotalEngeries Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).
The branding work was kicked off on Monday and will continue through to Saturday, August 2 according to information reaching Ugandans Online news site.The work will cover the vomitories, around the arena,camera platforms,VIP area, mixed zone, dressing rooms,training pitch, and the gates.
This site has also been informed that the LED digital advertising boards which are to be installed as a perimeter around the pitch have already been procured and are currently in transit and they are expect to arrive at the stadium very soon.
The branding at Mandela National Stadium is being handled by a Moroccan company called 1896,contracted by CAF to deliver the work.
Well as the official Kick off of the competition will happen in Tanzania at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on August 2, the very first games to be hosted in Uganda at Namboole Stadium will be played on Monday August 4, 2025. This will be a double header as Niger plays against Guinea at 5:00 pm followed by a do-or-die match between the host,Uganda and Algeria at 8:00 pm under the floodlights.
