Online tickets for the 2024 TotalEngeries Africa Nations Championship Quarter Final match between Uganda and Senegal scheduled for Saturday are all sold out, the Local Organizing Committee has confirmed.
“As at 2:55 p.m this afternoon of 21st August 2025, all the Match Day CAF online tickets for the 5 p.m. CHAN-2024 Quarter Final match of 23rd August 2025 at Namboole stadium for Uganda vs. Senegal are sold out,” confirmed Denis Mugimba the Chairperson Communication and Signage Sub-committee of CHAN in Uganda.
“If you buy tickets from anywhere else, you’re either buying fake or duplicate tickets at your own risk,” he warned.
Just like it happened with the ones for the match between Uganda and South Africa which was played on Monday, tickets for this highly anticipated encounter between The Cranes and The Lions of Terenga have sold out two days before the match day.
It was however a hustle and a test of calmness and patience as several Ugandans tried to purchase the tickets online since Wednesday. They had to endure waiting for long hours for them to be able to purchase tickets.
“You are now in line.Thank you for your patience.Your estimated wait time is 3 hours and 42 minutes,” this is the message which was welcoming most people who were trying to purchase tickets via the Online Ticketing system.
Some were told to wait for 6 hours or more than that. According to the information displayed by the website, there was a high volume of traffic of those purchasing tickets and the system was using a virtual queue to limit the amount of users on the website at the same time.
A number of fans however were left frustrated as they waited for longer hours only to be told by the system later that the tickets were sold out.
