Shock at Watoto Church: Pastor Fired Over Sexual Scandal

Big news out of Watoto Church this weekend, one of their pastors just got fired over serious sexual misconduct claims. No sugar-coating here.

In a no-nonsense video that played at all their branches on Sunday, church bosses reminded everyone that they don’t joke when it comes to morals, especially for their leaders.

Pastor Julius Rwotlonyo, the lead pastor running the ministry team, said this whole thing is a “massive letdown” and a slap to the church’s core values.

He admitted it’s a tough pill to swallow but made it clear: Watoto won’t tolerate bad behavior from anyone, no matter how high up they are. Everyone must walk the talk — or walk out.

They didn’t spill the tea on exactly what went down but confirmed the pastor involved is off duty while they dig deeper. The name? Not dropping it just yet.

For the newsbies, Watoto started way back in 1984 as Kampala Pentecostal Church (KPC), but now it’s one of the biggest church families in Uganda.

Their influence isn’t just Sunday services — they’re huge on community work, especially kids through Watoto Child Care Ministries.

This whole episode is a wake-up call: no matter who you are, Watoto expects you to be beyond reproach. They’re serious about protecting their flock and keeping things tight.
