A shocking video has emerged showing the exact moment renowned Ugandan musician Douglas Mayanja, popularly known as Weasel, was knocked down in a disturbing incident that has now led to the arrest of his wife, Sandra Teta.

The footage, which has since gone viral on social media, captures what appears to be a deliberate hit-and-run that took place in Munyonyo. The Goodlyfe singer is currently hospitalised at Nsambya Hospital, reportedly with serious injuries, including suspected fractures in both legs.

Sources close to the incident allege that Sandra Teta was behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck Weasel. While earlier reports were unclear on whether the act was intentional, the release of the video has fueled speculation that the incident may have stemmed from a domestic dispute.

Following public outcry and online pressure, Sandra Teta has allegedly been arrested and is currently being held as police investigations continue. Authorities have not yet released a formal statement on her status or the potential charges she may face.

Medical staff at Nsambya Hospital have confirmed that Weasel is undergoing treatment, though no official medical report has been shared with the public. The Mayanja family has remained silent, and Weasel’s management has yet to comment on the incident.

Weasel, best known as one half of the iconic Radio & Weasel duo, commands a massive fan base across Uganda and beyond. The shocking video has left fans devastated, with many calling for justice and a deeper look into the couple’s long-troubled relationship.

This is a developing story. Ugandans Online will continue to provide updates as more details emerge.
